  17. Contact us

These terms are an agreement between you and HoodRaps LLC ("HoodRaps", "we", "us"). They cover your use of our website and any services you buy from us. By using the site, sending our onboarding questionnaire or paying for a package, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use our services

You need to be 18 or older to buy our services. If you're younger, a parent or guardian has to agree to these terms for you and pay for the services.

2. Our services

We offer the packages described on our website when you buy: Starter, Breakout, Takeover, and the Distribution & Management monthly plan. Before work starts, we confirm the details of your campaign with you in writing, on WhatsApp or by email, such as the song, the timing and what's included. That confirmation is part of these terms.

Some of what we do depends on other people. We pitch your music to playlist curators, blogs, journalists, interviewers and creators, but they decide what they feature, publish or post, and when.

3. No guaranteed results

We guarantee our work, not the outcome. We don't promise any number of streams, followers, views, playlist placements, press, chart positions, viral moments or income. Results depend on your music, your audience, platform algorithms and decisions made by other people. Results we show on our website or in our ads are real, but they aren't a promise of what you'll get.

4. No fake streams

We never use bots, fake accounts, click farms or paid streams. Streaming services can remove songs and penalize artists for artificial streams. You agree not to use services like that on music we're promoting. If we find artificial activity, we may stop working on your campaign, and work already done won't be refunded.

5. Payment

  • Prices are in US dollars and are the ones listed when you buy.
  • One-time packages are paid in full before work starts.
  • The monthly plan is paid each month in advance and renews until you cancel.
  • Any taxes that apply are added on top.
  • Payments go through a payment provider, and its terms also apply.

6. Refunds and cancelling

  • One-time packages: if you cancel before work on your campaign starts, you get a full refund. Once work has started, we can't refund the package, because our time and outreach to curators, press and creators can't be taken back.
  • Monthly plan: you can cancel online any time before your next billing date by emailing support@hoodraps.com or messaging us on WhatsApp, and we'll confirm the cancellation in writing. You keep the service until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund partial months.
  • If we can't deliver something we confirmed with you because of a problem on our side, we'll make it right with a replacement or a fair refund for that part.

7. What we need from you

  • Accurate information and the materials we ask for (your song, links, artwork, photos and videos) on time. Delays on your side can delay or limit your campaign.
  • Answers to our questions within a reasonable time.
  • Keeping your own accounts and logins secure. We'll never ask for your passwords unless you agree it's needed for a specific task, such as distribution.

8. Your music and content

You keep ownership of your music, masters, lyrics, artwork, name and likeness. Working with us doesn't transfer any of them to us.

To run your campaign, you give HoodRaps permission to use, copy, edit, cut into clips, caption, post and share your music, videos, artwork, name, likeness and bio, on our own pages (including our fan pages) and through our campaign partners. This permission isn't exclusive, it's worldwide, and it doesn't cost us anything. It lasts for your campaign. Posts already made can stay up afterward, but you can ask us to remove posts on accounts we control and we'll do it within a reasonable time.

We may also show your results and content as examples of our work. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we won't use new examples from your campaign.

You confirm that you own or control the rights to everything you send us, including beats, samples and features, and that our use of it as described here won't break anyone else's rights. Clearing samples and features and sorting out producer agreements is your responsibility.

9. Distribution

When we distribute your music, it goes out through third-party distributors and streaming platforms, whose own terms apply. Before your music is delivered, we confirm with you in writing how it will be released and how royalties will be paid.

10. Other platforms

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp and other platforms aren't connected to HoodRaps and don't endorse us. Their rules apply to everything posted there, and they can change features, algorithms or policies, or remove content, at any time.

11. Our brand and materials

The HoodRaps name, logo, raccoon mascot, website, templates and the original content we create belong to us. Don't copy or use them without our permission. Clips and posts we make for your campaign can be shared by you, with credit to HoodRaps where it makes sense.

12. Using our site fairly

Don't use our site or services for anything illegal, to send us content that infringes someone else's rights, or to send hateful, threatening or explicit material involving anyone without consent. We can turn down or stop work on content we're not comfortable promoting. If we do that before work starts, we'll refund you.

13. Ending our work together

You can stop our services as described in section 6. We can stop our services if you break these terms. Sections 3, 4, 8, 11, 14 and 15 keep applying after our work together ends.

14. Disclaimers and liability

As far as the law allows, our website and services are provided "as is", without promises beyond the ones in these terms and in your written campaign confirmation.

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost income, lost streams or damage to reputation, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the services in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits responsibility that can't be limited by law.

You agree to cover HoodRaps for claims made by others that come from the content you gave us or from you breaking these terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If something goes wrong, contact us first and we'll try to sort it out together. If we can't, disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in California.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Changes don't affect a campaign you've already paid for unless you agree to them.
